Ichijinsha have announced with a promotional video for the sixth volume compilation of manga Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii by Fujita that the work will receive an adaptation to a real image film. Fujita drew the illustration that accompanies these lines to commemorate the announcement.

This sixth volume of the manga will go on sale on July 31 and to date the work has 7 million copies in circulation (including digital).

Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii has already received an animated television adaptation of 11 episodes last April that could be watched via Amazon Prime Video around the world.

The story of the manga is starring Narumi, a clerk who hides his fujoshi lifestyle, and Hirotaka, a handsome and hardworking businessman who is in the background an otaku of video games.

Fujita launched the manga on the web pixiv in 2014, and it was published in the digital magazine Comic POOL of Ichijinsha in November 2015.
