The girl is Mai Sakurajima, a famous actress who is taking a break in her career and going to a superior course to Sakuta. For some strange reason people can no longer see Mai, so Sakuta decides to get to the root of the mystery, but spending time with her investigating the case, ends up falling in love. Little by little more girls will appear affected by the "puberty syndrome".

The first novel in the series was Seishun Buta Yaro wa Bunny Girl-senpai no Yume wo Minai and went on sale in April 2014 with illustrations by Keeji Mizoguchi. The eighth volume and last for the time was put on sale last April 10.

Kamoshida and Mizoguchi have already worked together on the novels Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, which was adapted to anime for television in 2012.
