The new Baki anime is shown in a video and its release in Japan


The team of the new animated adaptation of the manga Baki by Keisuke Itagaki has shown a new poster and a trailer of the series. The anime will premiere on June 25 on Netflix Japan, while the television broadcast will begin on July 1.

  • Takuya Eguchi as Kaoru Hanayama


Toshiki Hirano (Magic Knight Rayearth) will be the director of the anime under TMS Entertainment, being the screenplays of Tatsuhiko Urahata (Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, Tsuredure Children) and the character designs of Fujio Suzuki (New GetterRobo).

The band GRANRODEO will be in charge of the opening with the song "Beastful", while Azusa Tadokoro will put the ending with "Resolve".

The manga Baki the Grappler by Itagaki was published in the Shonen Champion from 1991 to 1999, following Baki 2 from 1999 to 2005. Hanma Baki was published in the same magazine from 2005 to 2012. Baki has received several sequel manga, two animated series for television and even an OVA. Baki-Dou started in March 2014 in the Weekly Shonen Champion, being the third sequel to the original Baki.
