The official website of the Jump SQ magazine of Shueisha has announced that the manga Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido-hen of Nobuhiro Watsuki will resume its publication in the pages of the July delivery of the magazine, on sale on June 4. The manga came to a standstill last December when Watsuki was accused of possession of child pornography, and subsequently fined 200,000 yen for it.

The announcement says that Watsuki is going through a phase of reflection and expiation, but that both the author and the publisher have decided to continue publishing the work in response to the requests of the fans.

When the manga went into a pause, the publisher declared that he took the serious matter of the accusations against the author as something very serious, and that Watsuki had shown deep regret for what happened.
