The short 'Ongaku Shoujo' by Studio DEEN will become a series for TV in July

Ongaku Shoujo, the animated short that Studio DEEN produced for the Anime Mirai project in 2015, will become an animated series for television next July. The protagonist will fall on Hanako Yamadaki, who will meet a group of very unknown idols of 11 girls called Ongaku Shoujo who are not discouraged and want to reach the top.

In the cast they will be:

  • Asami Seto as Eri Kumagai
  • Nako Eguchi as Roro Morooka
  • Manami Numakura as Haru Chitose
  • Yui Ogura as Haori Mukae
  • Miho Okazaki as Mirai Nishio
  • Yuko Ono as Yukino Hinata
  • Miyuri Shimabukuro as Shoop Gushiken
  • Sumire Uesaka as Kiri Mukae
  • Mai Fuchigami as Sarasa Ryuou
  • Seria Fukugawa como Hanako Yamadaki

Yukio Nishimoto will be the director of the anime under Studio DEEN. Deko Akao supervises and writes the scripts, while Momoka Komatsu will be responsible for adapting the original designs of characters from Matsuri Santa, to the anime. King Records will produce the music.

Pine Records, the real-life equivalent of the idols label in the anime, will be responsible for releasing the girls first single on June 6 with "One Stage Life".

Ongaku Shoujo

Eri, a girl who likes to stay indoors, meets a mysterious but enthusiastic transfer student named Haru. Eri used to love to sing and Haru loves Eri's singing. The story follows the two during one summer of their high school life as their love sometimes overlaps and sometimes passes by each other.
