The anime Ace Attorney will have second season in autumn


The official website of the animated television adaptation of video games Ace Attorney of Capcom has revealed that the series will have a second season entitled Gyakuten Saiban: Sono "Shinjitsu" Igiari! ~ Season 2 and that will be released in the fall. In the promotional image that accompanies the advertisement we can see Godot.


Shu Takami, director of the original game, will collaborate with the anime. A-1 Pictures will be responsible for the production of animation, with director Ayumu Watanabe, screenwriter Atsuhiro Tomioka, composer Kaoru Wada and Keiko Ota returning to the team as responsible for the character designs and animation direction. Yukiko Imai will take over the assistant management position.

In the cast they will return:

  • Aoi Yuki as Maya Fey / Mayoi Ayasato
  • Masashi Tamaki as Miles Edgeweorth / Reiji Mitsurugi

  • Tooru Nara as Larry Butz / Masashi Yahari

The first season of the anime was released in April 2016 and covered the first two games of the franchise.

Since he was a child, Ryuuichi Naruhodou's dream was to become a defense attorney, protecting the innocent when no one else would. Gyakuten Saiban: Sono "Shinjitsu", Igi Ari! follows Ryuuichi as he tackles cases to absolve the falsely accused of the charges they face. It will not be easy—standing in his path is the ruthless Reiji Mitsurugi, a prosecutor who will stop at nothing to hand out guilty verdicts. With his back against the wall, the defense attorney must carefully examine both evidence and witness testimony, sifting through lies to solve the mystery behind each case. With a shout of "objection!," the battle in the courtroom begins!
