Attack on Titans author says that the manga will end "in a year or two"

The Attack on Titans manga has already entered its final arc, and it seems it will not be long before it comes to an end.

In a recent interview with the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun, manga author Hajime Isayama revealed that the work will come to an end in a maximum of two years.

No citation from Isayama is attributed to the news, but the newspaper claims that the mangaka declared that Attack on Titans "will end in a year or two."

Debuting in 2009, Hajime Isayama's popular series portrays the battle between the last remnants of humanity, who live surrounded by huge walls, and the carnivorous giants that roam the outside world. The series initially revolves around Erean Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and his childhood friend Armin Arlet, who join the military after their town is invaded by Titans and Eren's mother is devoured. Subsequently, the story shifts its focus, focusing on other characters and revealing the truth about the Titans.

Attack on Titans inspired an animated hit series, which returns in July this year for its third season, two live-action movies, video game games, books and dozens of other merchandise.
