Ace of Diamond Act II: Maaya Uchida sings the second ending theme for the anime



The official site of the adaptation of Yuji Terajima's baseball manga "Ace of Diamond Act II" revealed that seiyuu Maaya Uchida will sing the second closing theme entitled "Kodō Escalation" (Pulsing Escalation) , starting in July. Hotaru is writing the lyrics, Tom-H @ ck is composing the song and KanadeYUK is arranging the song. The single will be released on July 10.

The anime premiered on Japanese TV this Tuesday, April 2. The official site had already listed that the anime will have nine releases in home videos. The first volume will have three episodes, volumes 2-8 each will have six episodes and volume nine will have seven episodes, totaling 52 episodes.


The returning cast of the previous anime includes:
  • Ryota Ohsaka as Eijun Sawamura
  • Nobunaga Shimazaki as Satoru Furuya
  • Takahiro Sakurai as Kazuya Miyuki
  • Yūma Uchida as Kōshū Okumura
  • Shintarō Asanuma as Yōichi Kuramochi
  • Natsuki Hanae as Haruichi Kominato
  • Shunsuke Takeuchi as Yūki Masashi
  • Daiki Yamashita as Takuma Seto


New members have been announced, Ayumu Murase as Kaoru Yui, a Seidō High student who comes from a baseball family and Tasuku Hatanaka as Hirofumi Asada, another student from Seidō High.

Other members announced later include:

  • Junichi Suwabe as Enjō Renji
  • Ayane Sakura as Yoshikawa Haruno
  • Yuichiro Umehara as Sōichirō Mima
  • Jun Fukushima as Kazuto Kōtari



Terajima launched the baseball manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2006. The manga won the shounen manga category of the 34th Kodansha Manga Award in 2010. Kodansha Comics began to release the manga digitally in English in March 2017.

The manga also inspired a series of plays.
