Karakuri Circus anime reveals staff, main cast and trailer

Exclusive promotion



The official website of the animated television adaptation of the manga Karakuri Circus by Kazuhiro Fujita has revealed a new promotional image, a video, the team and the main cast of the series. It is also confirmed that the series will premiere in October and will be broadcast in Tokyo MX and BS11, although its online broadcast will be exclusive to Amazon both in Japan and outside of it. Recall that previously it was announced that the series will have 36 episodes.




In the cast they will be:

Chihiro Ueda as Masaru Saiga
Rikiya Koyama as Narumi Kato
Megumi Hayashibara as Shirogane Saiga
Takahiro Sakurai as Eiryo Ashihana
Nozomu Sasaki as Gii Christoph Resh

Studio VOLN (Ushio to Tora, Idol Incidents) is responsible for animating the series for Twin Engine. Satoshi Nishimura (Ushio to Tora) will direct the series, while Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Hunter x Hunter 2011) will be the character designer. Toshiki Inoue (Death Note, Ushio to Tora) and the original manga author, Kazuhiro Fujita, will be responsible for the scripts. Yuuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia, Haikyu !!) composes the music.

Masaru Saiga is a fifth-grader who aspires to be a puppeteer. When Sadayoshi Saiga, CEO of the big telephone company Saiga and father of Masaru, dies, he will inherit a total of 18,000 million yen. Now that Masaru is a millionaire he will be the target of several evildoers who will long for his fortune, but luckily two people come to his aid. One is Narumi Kato, a man skilled in kung fu and suffering from a rare disease called "Zonapha Syndrome". The other is Shirogane, a silver-haired woman who controls the puppet "Arurukan." The three will face all the conspirators who want to rob Masaru his fortune.

Fujita published the manga in the pages of the Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1997 to 2006, having been compiled in a total of 43 volumes in its original edition, launching a new edition in 23 volumes between 2011 and 2013. To date the work has more of 15 million printed copies.
