Bandai Namco Arts V-Storage website has shown several images of what will be Yu Yu Hakusho's next OVA. The first six images correspond to the story "Two Shot", while the next six correspond to the story "All or Nothing".

It is also revealed that the anime will be screened on October 6 in the TOHO CINEMAS of Shinjuku next to episode 1 of the original anime.

The anime will adapt the extra chapter "Two Shot" that was included with the seventh volume of the original manga, as well as the penultimate chapter of the work, "All or Nothing". The "Two Shot" chapter tells the story of how Kurama and Hiei met, while in "All or Nothing" the main characters met to solve a crisis in the spiritual world.

The team will return from previous adaptations, including the director and head of the storyboards, Noriyuki Abe, who will work under the Pierrot studio. In the cast there will also be old acquaintances, including Nozomu Sasaki as Yusuke Urameshi, Shigeru Chiba as Kazuma Kuwabara, Megumi Ogata as Kurama and Nobuyuki Hiyama as Hiei.

The OVA will be included with the fourth part of the Blu-ray Box that will be launched as part of the commemorations for the 25th anniversary of Yu Yu Hakusho. The four parts of this Blu-ray Box are:

  • The first part will be released on July 27 and will include the bow "Spiritual Detective" (episodes 1-26) and both films, being the first time that the second film is published in BD format.
  • The second part will include the arc of the "Dark Tournament" with its 40 episodes and will go on sale on August 28.
  • The third set will include the 28 episodes of the "Black Chapter" and will be released on September 26.
  • The fourth set will be released on October 26 and will include the "Demon World" arch with its 18 episodes and the new original animation.

Each of the sets will be accompanied by their respective openings and endings in versions without credits.

The original manga of Yoshihiro Togashi was published between 1990 and 1994, consisting of 19 compilation volumes. The story starring Yusuke Urameshi, a criminal who dies saving a child from being run over and in the spiritual world gives him the opportunity to return as a "spiritual detective" and take charge of defeating demons.

Yu Yu Hakusho was adapted to an anime for television that was broadcast between 1992 and 1995, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. He also inspired two OVA.
