RErideD: Koku Koe no Derrida: Anime Reveals Trailer, Cast, Musical Themes and Premiere Date

The official website of the original anime RErideD: Koku Koe no Derrida of Kadokawa has posted a second promotional video that reveals more members of the team and the cast, who will put their musical themes and that the series will be released in October.


The new cast members include:

Hiroo Sasaki as Vidaux Völker
Kaede Hondo as Mayuka
Kazutomi Yamamoto as Graham
Yu Kobayashi as Donna
Takahiro Sakurai as Nathan Bilstein
Minoru Inaba as Hans Andrei
Kenichirou Matsuda as Jacques Yvain

The previously revealed cast includes

Kensho Ono as Derrida Yvain
Himika Akaneya as Yuri Dietrich
M.A.O as Mage Bilstein

Quadrangle are performing the opening theme song, and M.A.O and Himika Akaneya are performing the ending theme song as their characters.

The anime's official website describes the story:

The year is 2050. A young engineer named Derrida Yvain became famous thanks to his contribution with the development of the "Autonomous Machine DZ" at Rebuild, the manufacturing company founded by his father. One day, Derrida and his colleague Nathan find a a serious flaw in the "DZ"s and try to warn their boss but are ignored. Although aware of the danger, they reluctantly decide to put off taking any measures and go to Nathan's daughter Mage's birthday party. Next day, after spending a peaceful time, Derrida and Nathan are suddenly attacked by unknown forces. At the end of the escape, Derrida falls into a cold sleep machine and 10 years later, he wakes up to a devastated world in the middle of a war. Being attacked by a group of out of control "DZ"s, Deriida almost gives up but he recall's Nathan's last words."Take care of Mage."
Despite the harsh fate that has fallen upon him, Derrida sets off to seek Mage.
Beyond the time, we reunite — this is the story of a journey for hope.

In the team of the series stand out the director Takuya Sato (Steins; Gate, Armitage III, Selector Infected WIXOSS) and the illustrator Yoshitoshi ABe (Serial Experiments Lain, Texhnolyze, Haibane Renmei) who will work under Geek Toys. The head script will be Kenji Konuta (Toshokan Senshou, Haitai Nanafa), while Koji Watanabe (Blue Gender, Tokko) will be the one to adapt the character designs to the anime. Maiko Iuchi (Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, Tokyo Ravens) will play the music, while Yukio Nagasaki (BECK, Hoseki no Kuni, B: The Beginning) will be the sound director. Kadokawa will be in charge of music production and Half HP Studio will produce the sound effects.
