Exclusive promotion

The number 26 of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump reveals on its cover that the manga The Promised Neverland (Yakusoku Neverland) by Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu will have an animated adaptation for television.

The announcement comes this way after having registered last April the domain "neverland-anime.com". The rumors even gave an alleged team for the anime, with Yuichi Fukushima as producer, Kyohei Ishiguro (Kimiuso) and Yoshitoshi Shinomiya (who directed the scenes of your name's flashbacks.) As directors, character designs by Masayoshi Tanaka (Darling in the FRANXX) and the studio CloverWorksa charge of animation. This team has not been confirmed at the moment.

Emma is an orphan who lives in Grace Field House with other foster children, including Norman and Ray, with whom Emma always gets the best scores in the daily exams they must do. Emma realizes that although they can do whatever they want, what they do not allow is to go beyond the door that connects the house with the outside world. One night Conny, one of the orphans, is sent away to be adopted and Emma realizes that the boy has left his beloved bunny Bernie. When Emma leaves with Norman and Ray to take the rabbit to the child, they discover that Conny has died and that the house is actually a farm where they are reared and then harvested and fed by demonic creatures. Also, the woman who takes care of them, Isabella, is the one who has the agreement with the demons. Now the children will have to warn the rest and draw a plan to escape from that place.

Shirai and Demizu launched the manga on the pages of the Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2016 and its eighth volume compilation went on sale on April 4. The work currently has 4.2 million copies.
