The new anime of Captain Tsubasa will premiere on April 3



The official website of the new animated television adaptation of the manga Captain Tsubasa by Yoichi Takahashi has announced that the series is scheduled to premiere on April 3 at 1:35 on TV Tokyo, which can be seen on April 10 at BS Japan. The series can also be viewed via TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido and TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu.

The voices announced above are:

  • Kodai Sakai as Tappei Kisugi
  • Hiroyuki Yoshino as Hajime Taki
  • Taro Kiuchi as Shingo Takasugi

Toshiyuki Kato (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable) will be the director of the anime under the David Production studio. Atsuhiro Tomioka (Inazuma Eleven, Pokémon XY) will be in charge of the scripts, being Hajime Watanabe (Ginga and Kickoff !!, School Rumble) the character designer and chief animation director. Hayato Matsuo (Hellsing Ultimate, The World God Only Knows) will be in charge of composing the music, counting the team with Yoshikazu Iwanami as sound director.

The group of idols Johnny's West will be responsible for interpreting the opening of the series with "Start Dash!".

The original manga presents Tsubasa Ozora, an 11-year-old boy who loves football and is coached by Roberto Hongo, a retired Brazilian football player who was always considered a genius. The work had a total of 37 compilation volumes, published in the pages of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump between 1981 and 198 and inspiring three television series, four films, several OVA and a play.

The sequels were happening over the years and Captain Tsubasa is currently published: Rising Sun in Shueisha's Grand Jump, having passed through Captain Tsubasa: World Youth Tokubetsu-hen Saikyō no Teki! Oranda Youth, Captain Tsubasa: World Youth, Captain Tsubasa: Road to 2002, Captain Tsubasa Golden-23, Captain Tsubasa: Kaigai Gekitō-hen in Calcio and Captain Tsubasa: Kaigai Gekitō-hen In La Liga.
